UK Pump Out Locations
The Canal & River Trust have developed an interactive map to help boat users locate facilities along our waterways, including pump out stations, water points and recycling points.
It is well known that the disposal of sewage from boats on the inland waterways is prohibited by law and the navigation authorities require that sea toilets are sealed.
On small craft (less than 15 passengers) sewage disposal on our coastal waters is usually left to individual judgement (NB. check local regulations or byelaws).
In order to assist and encourage recreational boaters to locate and use pump-out facilities within the UK, The Green Blue has developed a UK Marine Environmental Facilities Interactive Map. This online map indicates which marinas, boatyards and harbours (who have registered to be on the map) provide environmental facilities such as pump out, black water/Elsen disposal, recycling, freshwater refill points, hazardous waste disposal and filtered/bunded boat washdown.
