Launch of The Green Blue’s UK Marine Environmental Facilities Directory
This webinar saw The Green Blue launch the first UK Marine Environmental Facilities Directory, the interactive online map that clearly displays the facilities available at marinas, boatyards and harbours.
The online facilities map provides a resource for recreational boaters looking for their nearest environmental facilities on both inland and coastal waters throughout the UK. Facilities include recycling; hazardous waste disposal; pump out stations; black water/Elsan disposal; water refill points and filtered/bunded boat wash-downs.
The Green Blue’s Campaign Manager, Kate Fortnam, is joined by guest speakers to celebrate the launch including:
- Mike Golding OBE – Round The World Sailor, Chairman of World Sailing Sustainability Committee & Ambassador for The Green Blue
- James Scott-Anderson – Environment, Health & Safety Executive at British Marine
- Carolyn Elder – Manager at Largs Yacht Haven, Scotland
